Champagne

Champagne, lovingly known as “Lady of the Manor”, came to us as a tiny kitten from another rescue. She was found living amongst wood chips at a garden centre, and sadly she had developed Mega Colon from eating the wood chips.

Champagne needed enemas every couple of days, along with a carefully managed mix of lactulose, psyllium husks, probiotics, and medication to stimulate bowel movement. It was a long and difficult three months, but on New Year’s Eve, miracle of miracles, Champagne finally did her very first poop unaided — and it was 30cms long!

Throughout everything she went through, Champagne remained the sweetest little cat, never holding a grudge, always purring away like a tiny jaguar.

Our precious Champagne Baby went on to live a wonderful life and became the true Queen of Goose Creek. She will always be remembered with love.
