Who would care for your cat if you were no longer able to?

The NZ Cat Foundation Bequest Cat Program gives you peace of mind by ensuring your cat will continue to receive loving care and support for the rest of its life.

If you are no longer able to care for your cat, The NZ Cat Foundation will assume responsibility for your pet’s ongoing care and wellbeing.

​

Your cat will be placed in a carefully selected permanent foster home with an approved carer who can provide a safe, loving, and stable environment. We will remain involved through ongoing contact with the carer to help ensure your cat continues to receive the best possible care.

Your bequest also helps cover veterinary treatment and ongoing care costs throughout your cat’s lifetime.

To join the program, you will need to complete a registration form and include a bequest to The NZ Cat Foundation in your will. The recommended bequest amount is $5,000 to $10,000 per cat, depending on the cat’s age.

The registration form provides us with important information about your cat so we can find the most suitable long-term home and care arrangement.
